What is SEER? What does HSPF mean?
Category: Ac Thermostat Post By: MARIA DAVIS (Stanleytown, NM), 07/31/2014

"In the U.S., the SEER is the ratio of cooling in British thermal unit (BTU) to the energy consumed in watt-hours. The coefficient of performance (COP), a more universal dimensionless measure of efficiency, is discussed in the following section. HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor) is a term used in the heating and cooling industry. HSPF is specifically used to measure the efficiency of air source heat pumps."
